The Fight for Truth, Justice, and Accountability

False accusations ruin lives. In today’s world, being accused is often the same as being convicted in the court of public opinion. While real survivors deserve support and justice, we must also acknowledge the devastating impact of false accusations—on reputations, careers, families, and communities.

The rise of the #MeToo movement has empowered survivors, but it has also created an environment where false accusers can manipulate the system without consequence. False allegations of abuse, assault, or harassment are not just lies - they are a form of violence, destroying the lives of the falsely accused while diminishing the credibility of real victims.

The FACTS Collective

False Accusers Compromise True Survivors. As a collective, we help communities to sort out liars from truth tellers.

Our mission is threefold:

  1. We expose false accusations, holding accusers accountable.
  2. We protect and advocate for men (and others) who have been wrongfully accused.
  3. We help women (and others) who have been pressure into lying to correct their mistakes.

Through documented cases, personal stories, and real-life examples, we aim to highlight the dangers of believing without question.

Before You Make a False Accusation

When you feel hurt or betrayed by someone, it is natural to want to strike back. You want justice, and you want to reclaim your sense of power. No matter how angry you feel, however, striking back by making a false accusation is never the right move to make. Please consider the following reasons why:

  • False Accusers Compromise True Survivors: the more people who make false accusations, the harder it is for real victims to get help. Without realizing it, you are hurting women you will never meet by sowing doubt about claims of assault and abuse. Choose instead to protect future victims by refusing to contaminate their credibility.
  • Revenge is Not Justice: Unfortunately, getting revenge is rarely as satisfying as you hope it will be. Seeking revenge requires you to become your worst self. You become the oppressor, and it takes a toll on you. Adding hurt to the world does not make the world a better place. True justice means changing the conditions that lead to injury, not causing more of it.
  • False Accusations Quickly Get Out of Your Control: We have heard this story many times. Once you put something out there, you can't always take it back. Police and courts are eager to punish anyone accused of abuse. They will often take your choice away and persecute the innocent person you've accused. Public opinion may be permanently biased against the person you've accused, as so many people are looking for a scapegoat. You yourself may feel pressure from your friends and family to stick with your lie, as admitting you lied comes with stigma and shame.
  • False Accusations are Illegal: Most countries consider serious defamation to be a crime. Others allow you to be sued for hurting people by lying about them. In situations where it is not possible to sue or imprison people for lying, the only recourse may be exposing people publicly, as we do on this site. If you make false accusations, we consider you to be a danger to society. As a public service, we will give people a chance to protect themselves from you by adding you to our database.
